Kamarpukur Sada Bode gets GI tag!

Kamarpukur Sada Bode, a type of traditional sweet dish from the Kamarpukur region of West Bengal, India and favorite of Thakur Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa, have received the Geographical Indication (GI) tag. 

This Bengali sweet made from wheat flour, sugar, and ghee, and is known for its crisp texture and sweet, rich taste.

This recognition helps promote the unique cultural and culinary heritage of the region, ensuring that this specific product can only be produced in that area and maintains its distinct characteristics. The GI tag is crucial for protecting local artisans and promoting regional products.
